I take this time to apologize for my upcoming grammar oopsies... I have a BFA in metal design, not English. I know that I get carried away with symbols and thank goodness for spell check! Hope y'all understand where I'm coming from and that I really am smart-maybe just not with oxford commas and stuff...
My name is Amy Margaret Kapphan and Queen Anne Design is my jewelry biz. I currently reside in Bainbridge Island, WA. I have a cute lil cabin in the woods with my sweet boyfriend Casey, and our dog. (It's his dog when she's been bad!) I sell my jewels on etsy (queenannedesign.etsy.com), I sell at a local market (Kingston Saturday market), and I sell in a local shop that I also manage (Beads of Bainbridge). I love my jobs, my friends, and my family. I think it rains a lil too much here in the great PNW, but it sure is great a couple months out of the year... and well, green is my favorite color-I have it all winter long!!!
Lately I've been working a lot with wood, sea glass, and waxed linen.
I have always had love for suede and silk...
but those are affairs because my first love lies in metal.
I'm totally hooked on a new technique: Embossing!! Heard of it??
It's mostly used on paper and in crafts like scrapbooking, card making, and collage. Well, I'm using it on metal, wood, and glass! It's so fun and unlike anything I've ever done before! It's a sweet lil raised up image of whatever I want it to be! First I make my image in glue, sprinkle a lil magic embossing powder, apply heat, and waalaa!!! I always seal with a kiss, and lacquer. Check them out on my etsy site!
Thanks for checking in with me! Please subscribe to my blog!
And remember: I'm just getting started, so if something doesn't look quite up to date... It might not be, but probably will be soon!
I have a feeling I am going to really like this!
xoxo
